RAL is a globally recognised colour standard system producing colour charts for applications in architecture, interior design, and industrial design. The RAL Colour System provides 2,540 colours to choose from in three colour palettes - Classic, Design and Effect. Colour ranges are produced in a variety of formats devised to meet the needs of professional designers and specifiers. Products range from small flipbook or paint fan formats up to A4 sized sheets and an Atlas with removable chips. Most products are manufactured from coated or printed (K1 and K7) paper, however, some colours are available as plastic plaques. The fan formats provide a source of inspiration in the development of colour harmonies and contrasts, whereas the larger formats present colours arranged in colour space for quick colour definition. Paints, varnishes, powders, and other coating types as well as Masterbatch pigments can all be matched in RAL colours to fulfil your project’s colour specification. The Color Reader device allows you to quickly identify the closest RAL colour to your clients samples. Books were published to educate in colour psychology and colour trends, and to provide interior designers and architects with planning manuals. Specific books also provide architects and interior designers with essential information for designing buildings for health & social care, hotel and hospitality industries. Annual trend publications are also published.
