A universal language of colour

NCS - Natural Colour System® is a global cross-industry colour standard system used for colour communication between designers and manufacturers, retailers, and customers. Since the NCS System is based on how we perceive colours visually it is logical and easy to understand making colour communication straightforward. Any surface colour can be specified and communicated with NCS Notation. Following its launch in 1979, NCS quickly became the preferred colour reference for architects, interior designers, and product designers as well as materials used in construction such as paint. Perfect for specifying colours for decorative paints and coatings and frequently used in colour development for kitchens, bathrooms, home appliances and the automotive industry. The NCS range now contains 2050 colours including 100 new colours in the low chromatic colour space requested by users to make the system more complete.
